Hi, I'm Michelle.

I tell stories through film, photography and branding.

I’m drawn to stories of strong women, simply because that is who I grew up around: my mother instilled her strict Colombian rules and taught me empathy, whereas my sister showed me that to be yourself is courageous. I believe all women are resilient, empowered and intelligent, and I do my best to translate humanity, struggle, and strength on screen.

I’ve worked with brands like TVO, The Globe and Mail, Elle Canada, Canadian Living, ChatelaĆ®ne, Hello! Canada, Maclean’s Magazine, Shoppers’ Drug Mart, and CBCNews. I just finished my first film, Running Home, which is about a woman running a marathon in the Sahrawi refugee camps in the Sahara Desert.

I graduated from Ryerson University’s journalism program in Toronto and won the HaakSaan Award for Excellence in Online Reporting in 2015.

Thanks for checking out my page and I hope we get a chance to work together.

I understand the power and influence of media, which is why I do my best to educate myself on my biases and ensure I'm working with people who value equality and empathy. I also try to work with organizations who are making an effort in inclusivity, sustainability, and ethical production.

My vision is to educate and entertain viewers by creating high quality content on a low budget.

I make sure I understand your brand beforehand and check in with you throughout the production process, so that you get the end result you want. I'm highly professional, punctual and communicative on and off set. In the rare case that you're not satisfied with what I deliver, I will do my best to compensate for that.
